3. Define health literacy and provide examples of culturally and age-appropriate health communication that focus on good and effective patient, family, and community health promotion.
In order to meet these objectives you will need to complete the following:
1) Go over Reading Materials given in this folder. Assignments will be based on the content of the reading material.
2) Complete Discussion Question 1 to practice reading statistical data.
3) Use a specific website to begin your Border Health Project 2. Website is given in the Project 2 folder, along with the instructions and rubrics for the Border Health Project 2.
4) Complete and submit the Border Health Project 2 .
5) Read Health Literacy Power Point slides and use them to help complete the Midterm Exam.
UNIT 3
1. Describe and practice using the fundamental health pattern framework to assess individuals throughout the life span; and
In order to meet these objectives you will need to complete the following:
1) Go over Reading Materials given in this folder. Assignments will be based on the content of the reading material.
2) Complete the Patient Assessment Practice Activity before responding to Discussion Question 2.
3) Complete Discussion Question 2 to practice using the fundamental health pattern framework.
4) Complete and submit the Patient Assessment Project 3 .
5) Use reading material to study and complete the Final Exam

1. Develop and outline a patient health care plan based on individual assessments, including family and community health related factors.
